 The information contained is submitted and maintained by the folks that own, manage, or are in charge of the island listing. For simplicity sake we refer to this person or organization as the "owner" of the listing. In most cases the owner or author is indicated in the listing. It is also emphasized that the owners are also members of the MyIsland Travel Community and are encouraged to participate as such. In some cases listings have been created and submitted by independant authors when deemed valuable to the guide as a resource. This would be the case when the true person or organization has not stepped forward and taken "ownership". Listings submitted by independant authors are able to be taken over by their true owners. We encourage this and in fact make this very easy to effect. We encourage members to leave report their personal experiences in comment form. These should be in the form of brief comments and not in depth reviews. There also is the ability to rate the listing as to its overall quality, value or performance. If you have an in depth review of the business or activity it should be submitted as a travel review in our travel review section. In this case you should leave a comment in the destination guide that contains a link to the in depth travel review. The Destination Guide is growing daily. If you have a listing that you do not find a proper category for send us a note and we will create the category if appropriate. Listings are able to be linked to multiple categories.            |
